I was born 40 years ago in New Westminster, British Columbia. My early years, were spent in relative bliss as a fairly average student at a small school in the seaside community of White Rock. As I grew up, my interests turned to athletics. In high school I played all sports and became a gym rat with special interests in basketball and soccer. Out of school I spent most of my time either working or playing golf. I attended the University of Victoria from 1971-1976. Since graduation I have worked at six different schools and taught grades 4 to 12. My family is the number one interest in my life today, next is school and then sports. I swim, cycle and run three times a week as training for the Victoria Triathalon. Most of my friends are from soccer teams that I have played on. I do not watch television unless there is a sports special, and prefer to work at the computer instead.

Twenty years from now I will be 60 and the oldest leading scorer on the Canadian World Cup and Olympic soccer team. I will have to give up my job as a kindergarten teacher to travel as our country's sports ambassador. The known sporting world will hang on my every word as I will be the leading authority on the athletic applications of the Macintosh computer. I will be a published author on a variety of topics ranging from educational theory to cranial follicle rejuvenation. My family will be grown and pusuing their careers earning lucrative salaries in professional sports to prepare for my old age. Many of my past students will write frequently thanking me for the educational practice of making them do their assignments and hand in their homework. They will invite me often for dinner and I will have formed some friendships with the rich ones.
